PC vs Consoles

Gaming continues to be a portion of our way of life for an incredibly very long time. Whether you're a everyday gamer, who doesn't like just about all the competition of the majority of video game titles or you're a serious gamer who likes games such as Call Of Duty, Halo and Battlefield. There are two platforms for gaming, PC and Consoles. Both of these are highly different and a lot of people today have got their own thoughts and opinions on which specifically is superior. Very well then, let us compare and contrast their pros and cons with each other.

Let us start off with the PC gaming. PC gaming is really massive. More than 5 million people are consistently online on Steam, therefore we can have an outline that there are a great deal of PC gamers. PC game titles are furthermore far less expensive. Normally a high-quality PC game is just $40 whereas on consoles it tends to be $50. The majority of the PC exclusives are basically around $25 which at the same time offer good quality usually seen in triple A titles. PC game titles at the same time possess a whole lot more value in comparison with their console counter-parts. Many PC games have user developed mods which add more hours of content to the game. It might be nearly anything from more and more weapons to a whole side story added into the video game. Older game titles such as Grand Theft Auto San Andreas tend to get a completely new makeover over a time period as modders develop graphical mods which greatly enhance the graphics of the video game to help make it appear more advanced and photorealistic(ish). PC gaming has a tendency to have got a much better feel. Take Battlefield 3 for instance. I have personally played Battlefield 3 on the Xbox 360 and it's a blast with friends, but while I play it on my PC it's just awesome. There is constant action which usually lacks from the console edition. On the PC, we surely have a load of free to play games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic. No doubt, you'll surely be saving bucks on the PC games.

PC vs Console Graphics quality

A lot of people favor a gaming console because of it simply being family friendly. If you're likely to get or use a gaming PC, you have to be aware of the computer's specifications. On the other hand having a console, there is no complicated method it's only plug and play, you do not have to build your system with ordered parts which is as simple. Several families at the same time use their consoles for a lot more than merely playing video games. Besides that people use consoles as DVD AND BLU-RAY players. Lots of people like to sit back and watch a movie on a 42 inch HD TELEVISION rather than a 20 inch monitor. It's furthermore fairly quick and easy to converse to pals when actively playing a video game along with them. Pertaining to the PC the only means to chat with a companion out of the game would probably be either Skype or some other service such as Teamspeak. Of these possible choices only Skype is free, although it seems to take up internet bandwidth depending on exactly how many individuals will be in a Skype call. Xbox Live provides a feature that I really enjoy, the Xbox Live party. It enables up to 8 people to get in a small little chat room which is where they can communicate without having to be in the exactly same game. It's an extremely handy feature whenever you would like to speak to your friends whilst both of you play different games. Consoles also have a tendency to effectively be sorted out. Having a PC, you need to ensure that all of your icons are arranged or have folders to keep just what you require, but having a console almost everything is set up in categories and tiles so the whole thing is organized. With the quantity of games for the PC, there are much more special console exclusive games which would often make PC gamers consider about buying a console. I like some Xbox 360 exlusives which includes Halo. One particular game which was not known was Metro 2033. It is a PC and Xbox 360 exclusive. It may possibly be on the PC however the PC gamers may tell you the fact that you will need a really very good PC to run it, so it's much easier to play on a console. A console may be utilized for a lot of things for both the hardcore gamer and the casual family gamer.

It's tough for one to pick whether they must have a PC or a console. The people that are tech savvy are likely to go with a PC because they fully understand the things that they are doing and can easily fix just about anything that occurs. Other people that happen to be not as tech savvy stay with consoles because they will need little maintenance and have a fast setup. It's difficult to select which in turn is better but thinking about how in the long run a PC will save you cash, a PC is the ideal preference. You can easily save a lot of cash on a PC seeing that games are more affordable and certainly, there are free-to-play games available. On the final conclusion, the PC is a considerably better pick over a console due to it's durability, expandability and functionality.

How to be a COD Pro

If you are a First Person Shooter gamer wanting to enhance your skills, then this article is just what you happen to be searching for.

I’ve played out FPS game titles competitively for almost several years and have chosen to talk about my experience of FPS video games in 10 major points. Every point will take a glance at numerous elements of FPS gaming and precisely how to strengthen your efficiency in that particular area of expertise.

1. Private matches are much better in comparison with public matches. You’ll usually play together with and against gamers of a more equivalent skill level and with the exact same team of gamers. A far more steady atmosphere generates much better outcomes.

2. Losing is better than winning. Do not engage yourself in proudly owning noobs, that’s time misused discovering absolutely nothing. Proceed up in some greater skill server and take on better players as compared to you. There’s a lot to learn about merely from observing these folks take you down.

3. Keep to the configuration settings you truly feel most comfy with. Other players will attempt to encourage you to modify your mouse sensitivity or field of view, however these factors are not very critical for you to evolve into a pro. But, comfortable gameplay configuration settings tend to be.

4. Be physically fit. It is no chance that almost all pro players are actually in really good shape.

5. Don’t be scared to ask questions. A bunch of skilled players will probably be far more than just happy to assist with any queries you may currently have or offer a couple of tips to strengthen your game play strategy.

6. Check out demonstrations or live clan matches. It might not really be a great deal as looking at replays in strategy games, however you can nevertheless learn a lot about watching pro players do their job.

7. Don’t be rash. You will not end up a gaming pro overnight. You may possibly observe some early improvements, but it will take on quite a couple of months just before you’re at a level well worth talking about.

8. Becoming a member of a clan is a key element. It can be a trouble, and produce unnecessary responsibilities, but it does give motivation to play and become better. In addition you get to talk with fellow clan members who with any luck are likewise skilled players.

9. Engage in competitive events, even if you are aware of the fact that you’ll lose. The feeling of match pressure with a purposeful victory at risk is one thing you’ll need to have if you’re intending to go all the way up. You could possibly lose dozens of tournaments, but you’ll turn out to be an expert at adjusting out the pressure to win which in turn will have you a significant advantage if you ever do turn out to be that pro gamer.

10. Don’t turn into an ass. You are aware that the folks who shared tips with you were a lot handy as compared to all those who have called you a dumb noob when you were starting off, so don’t be typically the hater. There are plenty of those as it is.

All the best in becoming a COD Pro !

SocialBlade Partnership

SocialBlade

The SocialBlade Patner program is great for any type of channel whether it is gaming, music or any other type of channel. One major boost is that if you adhere with their guidelines of partnership like no content strikes and so on, the minimum requirements as of now are around 80 views on average and a decent subscribers list. SocialBlade Partner's also enjoy some special benefits too. If you are eligible for a partnership then you'll see this icon on your socialblade page:

Just click on it and wait about a week and poof. You can find the FAQ and many things at their website. But if you are a steadily growing channel and want a good partnership with great features and a good pay you'll want to partner with SocialBlade. One more thing, they have a great customer service. I opted for SocialBlade Partnership over Machinima because it has a more good payscale and is a steadily growing network.

Black Ops II Revolution DLC

Activision has finally confirmed the Black Ops II Revolution DLC ! Well, this new DLC brings something we all might have never thought of. Any wild guesses ? Zombies ! Because if we were to go through a Zombie Apocalypse chances are that we may have been turned, so the game will let you be one of the undead zombies. In addition to that there are fabulous new maps which players will enjoy, of course almost every First Person Shooter DLC has new maps when they get expanded by new DLCs. We all get tired of switching the same gun over and over again. There is a bonus multiplayer weapon, an SMG called Peacekeeper, better get a kill-streak with the new weapon. The Xbox fanatics, great news for you the game will be exclusive on Xbox 360 for 30 days. Let's talk money, the price, it will cost around $14.99 which is equal to 1200 Microsoft Points. Lego Marvel Super Heroes

When someone says the word " Lego ", we begin to start imagining childish block pieces that we used to play with, but now this is not the case since Warner Bros announcing Lego Marvel Super Heroes and polishing it's graphics and giving Lego a new edge, the game will be unique, guess why ?, because it's the first of it's kind featuring Marvel Super Heroes. Till now we have only heard Lego favoring DC characters, batman, superman, come on I bet you know more of them since they are all popular. If you are thinking , " Legos are just toys, this will be another game that's not going to sell well. ", think again. Imagine how the Avengers fans would want to test out their lego versions of superheroes like Captain America, The Incredible Hulk and many others. Also, one other thing to be noted  Lego used to make blocks......still does, so it is obvious that it has released it's series of Toys with accordance to the Game, which many children would when playing will be like " Oh look, my toy is in the video game ! ". All right enough of thinking about sales, now since we are talking about the game we must also know what story it'll follow. Now I don't want to give you people the spoilers, come on build a bit of anxiety and suspense. But, yeah the game is going to be about Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Wolverine, Spiderman and other heroes of the Marvel Universe to save the Earth from Loki and Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds. There will be literally over 100 characters to unlock and many more collectible goodies. The game will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, Playstation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DS and the PC this autumn. These days, lego toys seem to be interactive ones............just joking. Marvel fans are going to get what they are craving for provided they are ready to save the world lego style.

Now, Pokémon fans across the globe can discover the secrets of Pokémon games and can collect, battle, and trade with each other immediately." According to Apple there are more than 500 million active accounts. Apps from the app store are available in 155 countries across 23 categories. Apple seems to be prevailing on top of it's competitor Android, especially when it is smartphone gaming, developers generally develop games for the iOS first and then later on Android due to the variations in smartphones. “It has been an incredible year for the iOS developer community.Developers have made over seven billion dollars on the App Store, and we continue to invest in providing them with the best ecosystem so they can create the most innovative apps in the world.” said Apple senior vice president of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue. With the success of graphical intense games such as Infinity Blade, Avenger's Initiative and many more the app store is becoming targeted by developers all over the world. Not only games, but many other apps such as Apple's Keynote, FlipBoard and many others are also notably successive. Apple is for sure getting a hold on the Apps market.

Top 5 Emulators for the Nexus 7 (2013)

Having an Android device, how can we resist it's power of game emulation ? There are many inexpensive or even free emulators that make it possible to play many emulated games on the android devices as many of us have been hearing. Of course, there are emulators on an iPhone but their quality is just poor and they are not yet officialy supported. Said that, Android being a smartphone platform for game emulators, it has been making it's users very much happy, what's great than playing Playstation 1 and Nintendo DS games on your android device ? So, I decided to make a list of top 5 emulators you should get for your Nexus 7 right now. Here is the list :

image

Want to turn your smartphone into a portable gaming device, get FPse. It's a Playstation 1 game emulator that'll enjoy you to play all the classic playstation titles on the go. That's right it'll turn your android device into a portable Playstation 1.

image

This is definitey a must try ! Play retro DOS games and enjoy some of the classic ones like Fallout, Elder Scrolls II : Dawnguard and many more. You should really own this emulator, it's totally worth it.

P.S. There are many DOS games that'll give you a great experience on your Nexus 7.

image

Ever wanted to play Nintendo DS games on your Nexus 7 ? Well , this emulator is currently under development and it's open source, you can play some Nintendo DS titles like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon lately, but this emulator shows possibility of playing all major Nintendo DS games in the near future so it's a must have. Remember, it's still in development.

image

This is an excellent gameboy advanced emulator, cheats are supported and you can get a full game boy Advanced gaming experience. There must be definitely many classic GBA games you would wanna try, just like to old times or never played on a gba before ? Try this GBA emulator.

image

The reason I mentioned this emulator at last is because it is still in the early stages and I wanted you to be aware of this emulator, it will run PSP games on your android device in the future. Here is their official official website. You need to be patient and wait till this is fully working, you can still play homebrew games on this emulator. Here is a compatibility list for all the games currently playable till now, the emulator is still being developed. Once it becomes fully developed almost any PSP game can be played on the Nexus 7.  If you contradict me why not do a spec comparison between the Nexus 7 and the Sony PSP ? 1GHz Quad Core CPU vs 333 MHz CPU respectively. The Google Nexus 7 is more powerful which obviously indicates that it can run PSP games, even the emulator developer is confident enough of this.

These emulators will turn your Nexus 7 or any powerful Android device into a portable gaming powerhouse. There are yet many other good emulators but I mentioned the top 5 for your Nexus 7.

Steve Jobs - The Movie

Open Road Films had made a deal with Five Star Feature Films to distribute a new movie called jOBS based on the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs. Wondering who'll play the role of jobs ?

image
Seeing the above picture you might have guessed correctly, it's Ashton Kutcher. The movie is directed by Joshua Michael Stern, written by Matthew Whitely, shot by Oscar- winning cinematographer Russell Carpenter and produced by Mark Hulme, jOBS details the major moments and defining characters that influenced Steve Jobs on a daily basis from 1971 through 2000. "We set out to find the perfect partners to present jOBS to audiences worldwide, and we feel we have found one with Open Road. They were as impressed as we were with Ashton Kutcher's inspiring and unforgettable performance as Steve Jobs and are excited to distribute the picture in the U.S.," Mark Hulme of Five Star Feature Films said in a statement. Apple fans will surely want to watch their icon Jobs behind the scenes. Won't they ?

Minecraft becomes more Popular !

According to logs from Minecraft's official site, Minecraft has already sold 8.7 million copies on the PC, 4 million on the Xbox and 5 million copies on iOS and android. Minecraft seems to be moving even faster , with the 1.4.7 update announced, addressing a few bug fixes and some crashes, we might expect some new add-ons too. Minecraft is becoming the most popular game anyone has ever played. Flooding up YouTube channels with Minecraft videos, many new multiplayer servers, many new sites on minecraft, many new mods and a great community, it seems to be a game in fashion.

The Playstation Vita in Question

image

When the vita was first announced and demonstrated at the E3 conference, it seemed to be a new piece of tech that would give a potential for special types of games on the vita and it seemed to the handheld gaming community that it would shove up all the other handheld consoles out there, but surprisingly it failed to light up it's sales charts, which has given a rise to questions about the vita's future and Sony still continues to deny accepting anything wrong with the vita or maybe unwilling to admit. Vita had promised a huge library of games right off the bat and moreover Sony had vita as a weapon against it's primary competitor, the Nintendo 3DS. Even I began predicting the Vita to be successful but I was wrong. Now, the question is how did the Vita fail to satisfy the consumers ? Just after the Vita's release the clouds covering Vita began to outcast, there were complains about the vita's expensive memory cards and lack of substantial memory. Sony was so betting on Vita to be it's champion that it refused to drop the price of the Vita among it's other competitors, iOS, android as well as the Nintendo markets and then the games didn't quite shape out the way we all were hoping that they would, there was a lot of online gaming uncertainty and outdated asynchronous online play too. Vita's online play should have been a selling point rather than something to be abused and complained about, it was very disappointing. Even the biggest First Person Shooter, Call Of Duty Black Ops Declassified, proved to be a junk for the vita, even though Vita had the capability of dual analog sticks and strong specifications, which should have given a console quality performance but it's a shame it did not even Assassin Creed III : Liberation had a way lot bugs in vita, it surely disappointed the Assassins Creed series fans who were looking on to it to  be satisfying when it came to portable gaming. There are also many lags in the games you play on the Vita. So, somehow the vita failed console quality on the go, which it had promised. Now as we enter 2013, there is still a lack of upcoming games for the vita and it does not have a huge library of games as promised. Nintendo 3DS and the smartphone platforms seem to be emerging above the Vita, in gaming on the go. Even though Sony claims supporting the Vita in the future but the vita has become a failed prophecy. It seems that the vita is going on a slow path, but as I said the Vita has led to many possibilities in the realm of portable gaming. Nintendo seems to have dedicated customers and a fairly good number of games that sell well and a rapidly expanding base and Sony with the Vita doesn't have any of that. 2013 isn't looking great for vita seeing it's past neither has it been great till now.

Selling your own eBook

image

So you are considering selling an e-Book, eh ? Sounds quite a business. To start off, I would like to advise you to use Open Office it's a free open source software, that'll allow you to publish your e-book in various formats, like you make a simple file and you can convert it into pdf and many other formats, sound flexible enough, right ? One of the best things about open office is that it's .odt format is supported on almost all the sites like lulu.comamazon.com and so on. You can count on open office as your best e-Book writing and publishing tool, you can create headings, generate your e-Book's Table Of Contents etc. So, we're done with the software part, now to sell an e-Book I would consider writing about 20-32 pages for a minimum sized eBook and eventually the price does depend on the content of the book but generally it should be around US$2.99 to about US$4.99 for a book of about these much pages, you know there's a lot of competition out there. Now you might be wondering, “ Do I need an ISBN ? ” , well it's your choice but let me tell you that you can sell without an ISBN on almost all sites like Amazon. Try to keep your eBook well organised so that other people don't go through the difficulty of navigating through your eBook, who would want difficult times ? Make sure that you give the reader's wanting to read more, when you make the previews, don't just snap in a random page from your eBook but rather put up the pages that keep them wanting more so that they eventually buy your book. Don't forget to have a relaxed self-check for any errors in your book, you could also fancy getting a proof reader here. They say that, the first impression is the last impression, make sure that the cover page of your book is nice-looking and the preview is awesome, now you can relate the saying to the words said, people generally judge a book by seeing it's cover page and it's preview, pricing too comes but you need to take care of each and every thing. Don't forget a catchy title, you can't get their attention if your book doesn't show up in the search results. Make your description to about 70 words, but be careful, people are the most sensitive when they read an eBooks description. Don't forget about fonts, this is the area where people don't pay attention, no one reads something that looks scribbled or untidy instead they prefer a crisp and clear text, so give them the best font, it should be readable of medium size, not be too light or too dark, why not use the internet and do a little research here ? Lastly you need to give your buyers the best customer service. So, I wish you luck with selling your eBook .

Why should you blog ?

All right, so many of us must have been hearing everybody setting up their blogs these days, it has become kind of a trend. Well, in fact, yes it is fitting into the scene. Blogs are a great way to express your opinions, now think that if there is a popular blog then of course there'll be many people reading it, think what standard they can set to products by just reviewing them. Blogs are also a great way to get people engaged, you know people with alike minds have a common thinking. But now, these days people just set up blogs to get money from it, that's right they want to monetize as soon as possible, without realising that they are set off track of providing quality content. Most people create blogs to get monetized, but that doesn't mean that you do the same too. In my opinion, you should create a blog to give yourself a platform and provide quality content to the people and then you'll be engaging fans automatically. A spark can ignite into a flame similar is with good quality blogs. Sites like TechCrunch, Cnet etc have strived to provide quality content instead of focusing on monetizing. Blogs can also be a great source of marketing, say you have many people engaged in a site and poof, you release a new product, instead of starting from nowhere you'll at least have a bunch of people buying the product and reviewing it. There are many ways in which you can benefit the people as well as get benefitted yourself by Blogging, seems Tit for Tat, right ? Let me start off by getting to the topic that all of you must be eagerly waiting for, making money with quality content. So, these days most of the blogs monetize by usually having ads by Google adSense on their site and mind it the Google adSense earnings are quite good if you have the fan base. You can also start affiliate marketing using your blog, sites like click bank pay you a commission for each product sold via your blog. So it is clear that you can get money by creating a blog, which is the most obvious reason people get really hyped up for creating one. Another thing is that you get the spotlight, as you provide quality content, people will begin to view and discuss about your blog. Come on, we all must have one time or the other be saying that what's the Cnet rating of the product, how does it scale up on verge etc. So you're certain to become the centre of attraction by creating a good blog. You also might get good opportunities from companies to do their job on a blog or you can also become an article writer, just show the people your blog when they want to see your sample work. Well, basically that's what all a blog will make you capable of doing. It seems great, but don't expect to get big soon, it takes time and I literally mean it. Creating a blog can also seem to be a very trendy thing, look at all the famous people, most of them have their blogs, hardly some people without blogs, so you seem to be catching up on the trends here by creating a blog. All this sounds cool but don't think all this is a very easy to accomplish task because in fact it isn't. But, don't worry, this book will help you out in creating a successful blog of your own, you need to have a passion for that, of course. Like they say, there's nothing possible without will power. You also need to be patient because all this does not happen at once, it takes time.
